Featured in the first section of Friday's Globe and Mail is a double-page spread covering Robert Armstrong, the Indigenous man who brought Louis Riel into custody. Armstrong had expected that Riel would have a fair trial, even saying, "If I had had my way, there would be no hanging of such a man."
