The Collected Works of Edward Ahenakew

Born out of careful consultation and collaboration with Canon Edward Ahenakew’s grandniece Heather Hodgson, the Collected Works of Edward Ahenakew presents never-before-published and long-out-of-print works from one of Turtle Island’s foundational Cree writers.

Series editor Heather Hodgson (of Cree ancestry on her mother’s side) grew up hearing many stories about her great-uncle Edward Ahenakew from her late mother and extended Ahenakew and Pratt families. She is the editor of Seventh Generation: Contemporary Native WritingThe Great Gift of Tears, and Saskatchewan Writers: Lives Past and Present. She currently resides in Regina, Saskatchewan.
