Announcing the first scholarly series in Black Studies published in Canada

By Morgan Tunzelmann Date: June 15, 2017 Tags: Behind the Scenes

In 1851, Henry and Mary Bibb founded Canada's first Black newspaper, The Voice of the Fugitive.

In honour of the Bibbs’ invaluable contributions to print culture, education and social justice, The Henry and Mary Bibb Series of Black Canadian Studies, the first ever book series in this area of study, seeks established and emerging scholars who wish also to leave an indelible mark.

Multi-disciplinary in scope, the series will be published and widely promoted by University of Regina Press.
